From 2020 to 2021, 3 successive governments of Malaysia had rolled out nine economic stimulus packages (ESPs) amounting to RM 530 billion in estimated value to cushion the impact of COVID-19 and to assist economic recovery.
Pantau Laksana is an initiative by IDEAS to track information provided by the government on the COVID-19 economic stimulus packages (ESPs). The study recorded the individual programmes announced from each economic stimulus package into a machine-readable data set. The data set consolidates information from the Ministry of Finance’s LAKSANA reports and ESP announcements, where data was collected from 14 April 2020 to 31 October 2021.
